Remindeo is an application designed purely for reminders. Users can set up a reminder for almost anything, from a doctor’s appointment to a birthday or task due date. The user chooses a date and time for the task to arrive and decides if they prefer to receive it by email or mobile device. The application also provides day planners and calendars so the user can manage longer term schedules. Remindeo supports lists and notes that users can design to their individual needs. A “to do” list can help users accomplish a task or the user can save meeting notes, recipes or anything else they would need to reference later. The user can save things that they simply want to remember (even if there is no deadline on it).Show more screenshots »
Remindeo was introduced in 2006. The application is a product of Smash Media. For the most part, Remindeo has earned itself praise from users and reviewers alike. The application incorporates a number of practical services that users can fully utilize on a daily basis. The only notable complaint was that the application does not offer a high level of customer support to its users. Of course with an application like this significant customer support is not really a necessity.
Remindeo packages a number of features in one convenient application. The application stands out because it doesn’t just offer a reminder service (although that is a big part of what it does). It also gives users a place to store information they want to remember. Even if something isn’t time sensitive, the user can write (or type) it down and save it. The web based design means the user can access their notes and schedules from any computer with an internet connection.
Remindeo favors a refreshing green and gold color scheme anchored by a solid white background. The application is well-organized and contains minimal clutter. The simple service gives users many handy options and lets novice level users master its features in almost no time. The charming color scheme gives Remindeo an original feel that users can appreciate. The application looks modern and provides users with a collection of easily accessible tools that can improve the way they handle scheduled tasks and events.
A new user can create a Remindeo account by clicking the white “Sign Up” link found near the top, center of the homepage (inside the green header). The registration form on the next page asks for a first and last name, email address, password, time zone and country location. After submitting the form, the user is advised that they must check their email inbox for a confirmation message. This must be accessed before logging in.
Anyone can create a free basic Remindeo account. New users are automatically given a free account when they sign up. An upgrade option is available and costs $12 per year. The upgraded account lets users remind up to 20 other people, which is 15 more than the basic account allows. There are no advertisements in emails and users can set up weekly planner emails sent each Sunday. Users can download their notes in an Excel spreadsheet and receive priority level support.
Remindeo offers features that almost anyone can utilize. Anyone who frequents the internet and has dates or occasions to remember can benefit from the application. Basic accounts are free and come with a number of features that are suitable for casual users. Users with more events to remember or those working with a group or organization may prefer to upgrade to an inexpensive Pro account to gain access to 15 additional contacts on their reminder list.
